The in-country Finance Specialist will be responsible for assuring smooth local operation of day-to-day activities in coordination with central functions and outsourcers in the areas of GL, Payroll, Account Receivables, Account Payables, Banks, Accounting and Customs VAT payment.

Responsibilities:

• Banks (checking and booking):
• Reconciliation
• Upload payments and collections into the Bank website
• Coordinate forecast cash inflows/outflows with Madrid
• Liaise with external vendor for VAT, Corporate taxes, ensuring tax compliance.
• Works with the Finance Analyst for Iberia & Italy based in Madrid offices, for:
• Accounts payable management through ORACLE:
• reception and registering in the system
• Travel and expenses: verify compliance with policy, register in the system
• Upload payments through the bank
• Vendors and Employees masterdata: create and maintain in the system
• Accounts receivable management through ORACLE:
• Track collection of customers’ payments timely
• Follow-up if payments are overdue
• Analysis of debt and payment terms offered to the customers, according to policy.
• Month-end accounting tasks: provisions for recurring operating activities, prepaid expenses controlling
• General Administrative activities and Office Management, including landlord contact, maintenance, petty cash, etc.

Accounting Specialist Requirements :

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

· 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or accounting

· Technical knowledge of accounting regulations, policies and procedures

· Strong computer skills including accounting databases, Excel and other software

· Detail and deadline-oriented

· Ability to thoroughly analyze and research information

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Italian.
