General Summary

The 3PL operations manager oversee the daily operations and processes and maintaining the relationship with the company domestic and international warehousing to ensure the proper handling and distribution of goods based on best practices as well as high class standards in Logistics to deliver the highest level of customer service while maintaining cost efficiency.

The successful candidate will have a passion for problem solving through teamwork, understand the complexities of global supply chain structures and can apply analytical thinking to resolve often ambiguous inventory and warehousing problems.  Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to explain and present complex problems in an understandable way and an ability to define root causes to structure a plan into manageable action items. 

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage relationship and engage with the 3PL supplier for Candela
  • Tracking/monitoring and daily troubleshooting inbound/outbound activities
  • Create, maintain, and review reporting metrics to identify opportunities to improve service throughout all facets of the supply chain.
  • Ensure that Inventory Process Controls are followed to avoid any possible financial exposure.
  • Drive continuous improvement to materials flow in support of DOH and supply goals, particularly lead time and inventory accuracy.
  • Strong engagement with Supply Chain Planning, Operations, Distribution and Logistics teams as well multiple other cross-functional groups to meet company goals.
  • Conduct individual and team training sessions related to 3PL inventory and shipping processes and tools.
  • Manage and back up the Traffic Analysts for international and domestic shipments.

 

Knowledge/Educational Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in materials / warehouse operations.
  • 2+ years in leadership position
  • Knowledge of inventory management and warehousing process.
  • Expert level knowledge of excel and other Microsoft platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability in utilizing a variety of project management skills to achieve project milestones and on-time completion.
  • Analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to dive deep and quickly understand root cause and identify scalable solutions.
  • Organization and ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience utilizing data analytics to drive strategic planning initiatives
  • Hands on capabilities to effectively manage cross functional relationships and external 3PL teams, as necessary.
