KNOW THE ROLE

Our E-commerce department are looking for an ambitious candidate to join our Team in the role of Junior Online Merchandiser. We are delighted to have two opportunities to join our team in our Beauty categories. These roles play a key part in enhancing our customers experience while shopping Online and working with brands and stakeholders to maximise our categories at Brown Thomas Arnotts.

 

  • Analysis, tracking and reporting on sales and key KPI’s Weekly, Monthly; Identifying strengths & opportunity and analyse & mitigate weakness & threats
  • Prioritising, Briefing & QA with relevant teams, including Content & Acquisition teams
  • Supporting and executing key commercial moments online alongside wider Beauty team
  • Onsite visual merchandising and category optimisation
  • Aligning priorities with internal teams; such as Buying & Marketing teams
  • Co-coordinating with our beauty brands on launches, promotions, & best in class online experience. Including co-ordinating and executing new brands online
  • Monitors & reports on product newness and product workflow
  • Monitoring stock availability, sell through and discrepancies
  • Monitoring customer journey and maintaining a high standard of QA housekeeping across websites, ensuring product categorisation and refinement filters are correct and a smooth customer journey
  • Champion driving improvements in conversion and AOV, through onsite merchandising, cross sell, upsell and identifying new opportunities
  • Awareness of trends, opportunities, competitors, and the general & Beauty market & maximising where possible for product & brands
  • Communicating with customer service on queries
  • Supporting on wider commercial moments and advocating for beauty share of voice. Including key gifting moments, Sale & other curated categories such as our Sustainable Edit

 

KNOW WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • One year relevant experience within an e-commerce or online business environment or ability to demonstrated a strong aptitude and well-rounded understanding of the industry
  • Strong computer literacy with an affinity for systems and confidence with key tools such as Excel & PowerPoint. Previous web platform experience is preferred (salesforce specifically)
  • An opportunity to work with autonomy but must have the ability to take initiative
  • Ability to multitask and ensure flawless execution with excellent attention to detail
  • Clear skills in communication & organisation
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships
  • A passion for learning and continuous improvement
  • Flexibility to work in rapidly changing environment (online team) within a larger bricks & mortar retail and also as part of a wider group
  • Ability to manage, organise, interpret, and present data
  • Passionate about the internet, technology & online retail
  • A keen interest in the beauty industry and relevant trends & brands
