The Role
· Provide effective and compliant procurement and contract management services to support the delivery of infrastructure investments under the Solomon Islands Infrastructure Program (SIIP).
· Ensure procurement and contracting activities achieve value for money, transparency, fairness, and accountability in accordance with contractual, regulatory, and donor requirements.
· Support high-quality, timely, and cost-effective delivery of infrastructure projects through sound procurement planning and contract administration. -quality, timely, and cost-effective delivery of infrastructure projects through sound procurement planning and contract administration.
· Provide expert procurement and contractual advice to SIIP management and delivery teams in a complex, remote, and dynamic operating environment.
· Strengthen procurement systems, tools, and practices across the SIIP Hub to improve consistency, compliance, and risk management.
· Promote and operationalise SIIP cross-cutting priorities, including local content, gender equality, disability and social inclusion, climate change and disaster resilience, and safeguards.
· Contribute to capacity building of local contractors, suppliers, and SIIP staff through structured procurement processes, guidance, and knowledge sharing.
· Proactively identify and manage procurement, contractual, and delivery risks to support successful program outcomes.

About You
· Tertiary and/or trade qualifications in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Project Management, Procurement, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
· Significant (typically five or more years) contracts and procurement experience in infrastructure projects, preferably in remote regions and/or developing country contexts. • Demonstrated experience in procuring and administering contracts for complex infrastructure projects across the full project lifecycle.
· Strong knowledge of Australian Standard contracts (including AS4000) and contract administration practices.
· In‑depth understanding of procurement systems and international construction industry practices, including Australian Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
· Experience in cost control, estimating, budgeting, forecasting, subcontract claim assessment, and commercial negotiation.
· Knowledge of Australian Standards and the NCC / Building Code of Australia.
· Understanding of the challenges associated with infrastructure construction and maintenance in the Pacific.
