If you are motivated by helping people and improving lives, then we have the perfect job for you!  We have a great opportunity for an Account Manager with 3-5 years technical sales/account management experience who wants to utilize that experience on our team.

 

Materialise is established as the industry leader in medical image-based research with our Mimics Innovation Suite, a software toolbox for handling anatomical data from CT or MRI images. Researchers from leading hospitals and universities use our solutions for 3D analysis, personalized device design, finite element analysis or 3D printing applications.  Materialise is looking for an enthusiastic and talented Account Manager to support our sales efforts and contribute towards sales and development strategies in our Academic territory.

 

Primary focus of position:

 

A critical part of the sales process involves communicating features and benefits effectively to illustrate our solutions to our customers.  The Academic Account Manager will work to develop sales leads and build relationships with existing and new customers.  The key responsibilities of the role include:

 

  • Achieving sales targets and accurately forecasting sales within your territory
  • Consulting with current & potential customers to develop new business while renewing existing contracts
  • Visiting customers to assess their needs and recommend innovative solutions & services
  • Acting as a representative of Materialise at industry events and meetings
  • Working with customers over the phone and face to face to do in-depth needs analysis

 

Required experience, skills and abilities:

  • 3-5 years technical sales/account management experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation and problem solving skills
  • Organized and analytical, with the ability to eliminate sales obstacles through creative approaches
  • Experience with Mimics, 3-matic or 3D modeling software a plus
  • Ideal candidate must be self-motivated and comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base

Travel Required: 40%
