Data Governance Project Leader to work closely with business and delivery partners to coordinate and manage all data governance related activities from business requirements through to infrastructure services for data governance transformation programs. Drive initiatives that advance data strategy and help business functions adopt best practices in data management including Data Governance and Data Standards.

§  Serve as a liaison between Business Functional areas and technology to ensure that data related business requirements activities are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritisation and planning

§  Manage all data activities and support requirement gathering activities as part of the data governance program of work

§  Develop structured data project plans, RAID Logs (Risks, Actions, Issues, Dependencies) and RACI model

§  Develop resourcing plans to complete requirements gathering, design and implementation in support of the overall program

§  Facilitate the definition and rollout of indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements

§  Provide progress reports to management and oversee periodic updates to the Data Governance Council as part of the Data Strategy Roadmap

§  Identify business opportunities pertaining to the use of information assets to achieve efficiency and effectiveness as part of the target operate model

§  Build effective working relationships with business partners and across the company at all levels to aid effective program collaboration and communication

§  Assist with project cost estimation for business case creation

§  Work with a team of Business Analysts, IT, Business, Subject Mater Experts, Data Services development team, Enterprise Architects, Software and Solution Architects.

§  Ensure project compliance with Architecture and Data Principles & SLDC, PMO guidelines, risk and compliance framework

 Required

§  Third level qualification, relevant certification, and/or 7+ years relevant experience with data services

§  Prior experience working in data projects with technical understanding required, preferably in cloud technologies

§  Relevant experience working within financial & insurance industries

§  Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and organisation skills. Capable and comfortable building strong relationships at all levels within the business.

§  Ability to plan and schedule within tight project deadlines

§  Strong attention to detail with excellent business writing skills

§  Ability to work on own initiative with a highly flexible attitude, whilst maintaining a high degree of confidentiality

§  Good time management and the ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business

§  Self-motivated with an enthusiastic approach and can work under own initiative without need for close supervision to achieve results

§  Results-oriented with a “can-do” attitude –adaptable, flexible and resourceful to work through issues

Hybrid/Remote work environment. Must be able to travel within Europe if required.
