Overview:

Professional Services Engineer with extensive expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Exchange, and associated technologies. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the creation, configuration, migration, and management of Azure & 365 environments, along with implementing and optimizing collaboration solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem. The successful candidate must be capable of working on own initiative and within a team and must have 5+ years’ experience in a senior implementation position.

Role and Responsibilities:

Deliver an excellent customer experience in all interactions, solution design and implementation.

Strong technical writing and communications skills in solutions design documentation, scope of work, technical presentation, etc. Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and technical documentation

Participate in various types of projects, including migrations from on-premises to Azure, email migrations, 365 and Exchange online migrations/maintenance/troubleshooting

Design and implement Azure architecture solutions with focus on:

• Azure Networking including VPN or Express Route for on-site connectivity
• IAAS server configuration and management
• PAAS infrastructure deployment, including Web Apps, SQL Managed Instances, and Azure SQL
• Azure Virtual Desktop setup and management
• Azure Site Recovery setup and management
• Implementation and enforcement of Azure Policies and Azure Templates

Migration to Microsoft Azure:

• Plan and execute end to end migrations of on-premise workloads to both IAAS and PAAS platforms within Microsoft Azure.
• Migration of on-premise File Shares to Microsoft cloud (Azure Files, Azure File Server or SharePoint Online)

Microsoft Exchange:

• Configure and manage Exchange Hybrid environments.
• Perform mailbox migrations from on-premise Exchange to Exchange Online.

Microsoft 365:

• Utilize Entra ID and configure Conditional Based Access, MFA, SSO, and ensure M365 Compliance and Security.
• Enforcing Compliance and Security requirements in M365 Compliance centre

Backup and Disaster Recovery:

• Implement and manage Backup and DR solutions, including Veeam Backup & Replication, M365 Backup Technologies, and other disaster recovery technologies.

Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients and team members and lead teams to ensure the successful delivery of scoped projects

Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

Minimum of 5+ years of experience Microsoft 365 and Azure architecture in a senior engineer role

Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-140) and Microsoft 365 certifications are preferred.

Experience with multiple migrations from on-premises infrastructure to Azure infrastructure and 365 Applications and Services, email migrations, maintaining and troubleshooting

• Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure tenancy creation and configuration.
• Extensive hands-on experience in Azure Networking, IAAS, and PAAS infrastructure.
• In-depth understanding and hands-on experience with Exchange Hybrid setups and mailbox migrations.
• Proficiency in M365 platform features such as Entra ID, Conditional Based Access, MFA, SSO, and compliance.
• Solid knowledge of Backup and DR solutions, preferably Veeam and M365 backup technologies.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proactive and able to work independently or in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
• Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies.

Hybrid working environment (office & home) with the ability to travel to client sites as project requirements dictates.
