IT Security Analyst

IT Security Analyst responsible for managing and implementing security policies, procedures, and standards. Review networks, applications and identify any potential vulnerabilities, installing the necessary software to protect it from unauthorised access, and documenting security issues, risk logs, etc.

Responsibilities:

§  Oversee running of security monitoring and incident response management

§  Identify security threats and violations and recommend and implement changes across the organisation.

§  Uses data encryption, firewalls, and other appropriate security tools and applications to conceal and protect transfers of confidential information.

§  Develops and implements plans to safeguard data from accidental or unauthorised modification, destruction, or disclosure. Monitor and restrict access to sensitive & confidential data.

§  Review violations of security procedures; provides training to ensure violations do not recur.

§  Implement IT security related projects providing hands on implementation & upgrades of new systems, tools, applications as appropriate.

§  Ensure security assessments are carried out across the organisation. Performs risk assessments, audits, and tests to ensure proper functioning of IT systems and processes.

§  Safeguards system security and improves overall systems and network efficiency by training users and promoting security awareness.

§  Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills:

§  5+ years’ experience within a cybersecurity role.

§  Bachelors degree in Computer Science or industry certification (CISA, CRISC, CISM)

§  Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.

§  Thorough understanding of security systems. Proficient, or able to gain proficiency with, a broad array of security software applications and tools.

§  Excellent Linux and Active Directory skills with experience of Azure/AWS cloud security

§  Experience implementing ISO27001 standards

§  Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

§  Good project management and prioritisation skills. Organised with attention to detail.

Hybrid working environment - must be able to work on site 2/3 days per week
