Our Digital Oil Field (DOF) business unit provides consulting, technology integration and project delivery (on matters such as production surveillance, process optimization, production allocation, and forecasting solutions) to help improve our customers’ oil field performance and management.

Role & responsibilities

IPCOS Inc. (Houston) is recruiting a Project Manager – Digital Oil Field (DOF) to lead major projects with US customers and drive the expansion of our US DOF business.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful execution and delivery of  large-scale DOF projects. You will oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of real-time systems, with a specific focus on gas lift surveillance and optimization. This includes integrating advanced data-driven solutions to improve the efficiency and performance of gas lifted wells, ensuring better reservoir management and production forecasting.

This role requires a strong technical background in petroleum engineering and DOF solutions, combined with leadership and project management skills to drive results and ensure seamless collaboration between stakeholders. You will work closely with production engineers, field supervisors, and executives, managing project timelines, budgets, and resources while ensuring high-quality delivery. Additionally, you will play a key role in stakeholder management, risk assessment, and decision-making, ensuring alignment with both customer needs and IPCOS' strategic goals.

 

Profile

  • You have a degree in Petroleum Engineering (minimum Bachelor’s). A Master’s degree is a plus.

  • You have 8+ years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, with a strong focus on Digital Oil Field (DOF) solutions, production optimization, and artificial lift systems.

  • You have proven experience in project management, successfully delivering large-scale DOF projects. A Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is a plus.

  • You have in-depth knowledge of artificial lift systems, particularly gas lift optimization and surveillance.

  • Strong affinity for data integration, real-time systems, and modelling is essential.

  • You have strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills to drive project execution and ensure alignment with business goals.

  • You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and managing multiple stakeholders.

  • You have a proactive attitude, with the ability to take ownership and lead teams.

  • You either reside in Houston, TX or are willing to relocate, with frequent visits to the customer’s Houston office and regular travel to various sites within and outside the US, depending on project needs
