The International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) is seeking to recruit a Member of the Secretariat (Analyst, Advisor) to join our team in Basel.
Purpose of the job:
Under the direction of the Secretary General and senior members of the Secretariat, provide secretariat support to IADI including event organization, meeting preparation, data management, research, and assistance with technical, implementation, and capacity-building initiatives.

· Support the broader IADI membership by developing analytical and policy work, supporting training events, preparing reports for member discussions and publications, organizing meetings of senior officials worldwide, and advancing the actions agreed upon at those meetings.
Principal responsibilities:
- Assisting the EXCO Chair, Secretary General, and Committee Chairs in the preparation of IADI events and in ensuring adequate administrative arrangements for the smooth functioning of the meetings, conferences and other IADI events.
- Contributing to the development of the meeting agendas and other meeting documentation
- Preparing records of meetings.
- Building and sustaining relationships with IADI member institutions and other organizations to enable coordination and meeting preparation.
- Carrying out research and background analysis on subject matters of potential or ongoing interest to IADI, following directions of the EXCO Chair, Chair of the Council Committees, the Secretary General, and senior members of the Secretariat
- Supporting the collection, validation, and analysis of deposit insurance system and bank crisis management and resolution data.
- Drafting speeches and preparing presentation material for the Chair and the Secretary General.
- Actively organizing and preparing training sessions, workshops, conferences, assessments, and technical assistance initiatives.
- Contributing actively to the development and delivery of a core curriculum and program for training of IADI Core Principles Experts
- Responding to enquiries from members and stakeholders
- Supporting internal and external communications
- Performing any other functions as assigned by the Secretary General.
Required skills and experience:
- Degree in business training, economics, finance, international relations, law, political science, business administration, communications, project management, data science or equivalent work experience in these areas.
- Proven experience in a deposit insurance organization, financial regulatory authority, central bank, Ministry of Finance, an international institution, private sector, or academia, with considerable experience conducting training and technical assistance.
- Experience in such fields as deposit insurance, supervision, resolution, and crisis management, and financial stability.
- Clear, conceptual thinking, substantial knowledge and understanding of deposit insurance, financial systems, crisis management, resolution framework and sound corporate governance practices.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a wide and diverse international membership body, both orally and in writing.
- Excellent verbal and drafting skills in English (knowledge of another major language is an advantage).
- Willingness to travel.
