Australia Awards Solomon Islands (AASI) complements other Australian aid investments in Solomon Islands and aligns with the Solomon Islands National Development Strategy 2016-2035 (SINDS).
AASI is managed by DT Global on behalf of the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). Under the Australia Solomon Islands Program Support (ASIPS+) facility procurement and contract management support is provided to AASI.

The Role
The Procurement and Logistics Officer will support the AASI team with a wide range of procurement, logistic and operational activities.

About You
You will need the following:
Three to five years’ experience and/ or qualifications in business administration, event management, human resource management, and/ or project management or related discipline.
Demonstrated knowledge of office operations, including procurement and accounting/ finance principles and practice, with strong administrative skills
Intermediate level Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Solomon Islands Pidgin
Proven organizational skills and attention to detail, with ability to prioritize own workload, work effectively both independently and as part of a team and deliver quality outputs within agreed timeframes
Experience and knowledge, or ability to quickly develop, of DFAT strategies, systems,
processes, and development program requirements
Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and cross-cultural skills, with the ability
develop and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
High degree of personal initiative, innovative, lateral thinking, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Commitment to a capacity development approach, teamwork, and ability to build constructive and effective relationships, and
Patience, self-awareness, resilience, and flexibility.
Remuneration
Commensurate to the technical knowledge and years of relevant experience and in accordance with the DT Global and ASIPS remuneration framework
