ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Under the supervision of the Team Leader and DT Global Technical Assistance Team, the expert will assist the lead expert. The detailed tasks and deliverables are as follows:

Under this activity, DT Global will organise a roadshow consisting of 4 hybrid information sessions (one every quarter, the first session held in Q4 2024), at different university campuses, and 4 training of trainers (ToT) workshops to be held during the roadshow in each region. Both info-sessions and the ToT workshops will be open to participants from other universities in the same area/region. The team is composed of two Senior Non Key Experts, one with a background on EU Education and Research Programmes and another with a background on Higher Education in Thailand. This offering is for SNKE2 – Higher Education Thai Expert.

 The following tasks and deliverables are expected to be equally distributed between the two SNKEs, each for 40 Working Days:

  •  Kick-off meeting with the EUD;
  • Phase 1: Conceptualizing and designing the roadshow (information sessions and ToT workshops)
    1. Deliverable A:

                                                               i.      Overview of the Thailand higher education landscape, in addition to proposal of host universities;

                                                             ii.      Detailed budget and execution plan for the roadshow and ToT workshops, targeted universities, location, key deadlines, audiences (estimation on the number of participants), and co-hosting partners/universities (final budget to be prepared with assistance from DT Global backstopping based on quotations received by service providers on catering, and promotional materials);

                                                            iii.      Detailed programme/agenda for each activity and university.

  • Phase 2: Organising the roadshow and related activities
    1. Deliverable B:

                                                               i.      A series of roadshows to at least 4 universities across Thailand are conducted and their respective programmes, presentations and materials created and presented;

                                                             ii.      Post event surveys are created and sent to the participants post event;

                                                            iii.      A detailed event report of each roadshow, including results of the post-event surveys or discussions as well as a proposal for follow-up actions and recommendations (for the EU and universities) for strengthening collaborations

  • Phase 3: Follow-up and Reporting
    1. Deliverable C:

                                                               i.      A comprehensive completion report

        1. Synthesize data from all the post event survey;
        2. Conduct impact assessment sessions with the host universities once all Roadshows are completed
        3. Prepare and submit a comprehensive completion report summarizing the outcomes, challenges, and recommendations for future initiatives.

 

Under the supervision of the team leader, the experts are responsible for delivering the above-mentioned tasks, with support from the Team Leader and DT Global backstopping team as appropriate and with the support from the university partners and service providers (based on the approved incidental expenditure budget). The experts should be available for meetings with the EUD as appropriate.

 

The attendee registration page for the Roadshow events shall include a section in which participants can note any special requirements for their attendance in the case they have any disability so that proper arrangements can be made to the selected venue at the university campus and any other arrangements needed. The incidental expenditure budget shall calculate a contingency fund for this (e.g. venue modifications, sign language interpreters, among others).

 

All communication material for the promotion of the University Roadshow shall be gender and disability inclusive.

 QUALIFICATIONS

 - The expert must be fluent and showcase high proficiency in written and spoken English and Thai;

 - At least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Relations, Education, Project Management, or related disciplines).

 

GENERAL PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

 The expert must have at least 12 years of experience related to higher education.

 

SPECIFIC PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

The expert must have at least 5 years of cumulative experience related to one or more of the following:

 - Experience in facilitating dialogues with universities;

 Knowledge and experience of the Thai higher education system and research ecosystem;

 - Experience in project management and event organisation;

 - Experience working with and/or having extensive networks with higher education institutions or research organizations in Thailand;

 - Experience in designing and conducting workshops;

 -Knowledge of relevant EU education and/or research programmes is an asset.
