The Role

 

We currently have an opportunity for a Head of Project Accounting. This is a full-time permanent position.  Hybrid (remote) and office work options are available

 

Reporting to the Finance Director – DT Global APAC, the Head of Project Accounting will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of project financial management of DT Global APAC’s project portfolio including managing a team.  The role will work as an effective member of the Finance team, ensuring the smooth running of the Asia Pacific Project Financial Management function and oversight and management of all Project Financial operations.

 

Duties and responsibilities will include:

 

  • Overall management of the Project Accountant team (10 team members) and Line management of 5 Project Accountants
  • Develop reporting systems to improve project financial reporting and streamline processes
  • Collaborate with Project Directors and Project Management teams to ensure PA support is appropriate for the project requirement
  • Collaborate with other departments as required (i.e. Operations, IT, Business Development, Legal, Insurance team etc.) to ensure an efficient workflow for Project Accountant
  • Ensure Project Accountants follow the PA manual to maintain a consistent level of PA support to programs
  • Support and mentor Project Accountants on conflict resolution and handling challenging stakeholders
  • Ensure that the Project accounting monthly cycle, inclusive of project establishment and project completion processes are completed timely and accurately
  • Work closely with the Project Finance Specialist on organizing and maintaining the project internal audit schedule

About You

 

Selection Criteria:

To be successful for this role, you must possess the following including, but not limited to:

  • CPA or CA Qualification with bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of 8 years finance experience, with particular experience in project financial management
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Proven team management skills cross culturally
  • High level of interpersonal skills with a mature and professional approach to work
  • Strong Attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work as part of a team but also autonomously
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Reliable and trustworthy nature when dealing with confidential issues and DT Global finance systems
  • Interpersonal skills to allow for harmonious working relationships within the unit and the office
  • Ability to research ideas, analyse options and make recommendations
  • Establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with management, co-workers and stakeholders
  • Keen to learn existing systems of company and identify opportunities to improve
