Junior Compensation Analyst

Human Resources Department

 

Sonaca is looking for a Junior Compensation Analyst to join the HR team in Belgium. You will focus on analyzing and administering compensation programs to ensure equitable and competitive pay practices within the organization. This role involves gathering and interpreting data related to compensation, as well as preparing reports and recommendations to support decision-making processes. Junior Compensation Analysts work closely with the Group Compensation & Benefits Lead and HR professionals to assist in the development of compensation strategies that align with the company's objectives and industry standards, ensuring employees are fairly rewarded for their contributions.

 

On a typical day, you will...

  • Collect and compile data related to compensation, including salary surveys and market trend analyses
  • Analyze compensation data to ensure competitive salary structures and identify discrepancies
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of job classifications and salary grades
  • Prepare and generate reports, spreadsheets, and presentations on compensation-related data
  • Support the administration of merit increases, bonuses, and other compensation programs
  • Conduct research on compensation best practices and regulatory requirements
  • Perform data entry and maintain compensation databases and systems
  • Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding compensation policies and procedures
  • Participate in compensation-related projects and initiatives
  • Provide support during annual compensation reviews and budgeting processes

 

 

What we are looking for:

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (including data manipulation, analysis, and visualization)
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data processing
  • Proactive attitude towards Problem-solving
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a continuous learning attitude

 

Nice to have:

  • Prior internship or entry-level experience in compensation analysis, HR, or experience with HRIS is a plus
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to compensation
  • Familiarity with salary surveys and compensation benchmarking
