Aerospace Prototype Project Leader

Required Education level: 

Master’s degree in mechanical / Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent)

 

Required experience:

·       Minimum 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering and aerospace programs assembly

·       3-5 years of management of preparation, assembly, and integration of aerospace primary structures, with associated mechanisms and systems (Harnesses, Avionics, mechatronics)

·       Technical Skills:

o   Expert in using Dassault Catia 3D models in a PLM environment.

o   Proven experience in manufacturing strategy, surface treatment/painting, and inspection

o   Large experience in assembly and integration of aerospace structures, mechanisms, systems for space qualification/certification/fly models.

o   Good knowledge of aerospace Material and Processes, including assembly technology (fasteners, bolts, structural bonding, welding, …).

o   Good knowledge of general instrumentation and routing

·       Tools:

o   Knowledge in: CATIA V5, Siemens TEAMCENTER,

o   Good knowledge of Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Planning, Teams)

·       Language:

o   Good level in English is mandatory (read, spoken & written)

 

Job description:

 

·       Under the responsibility of a senior prototype leader, the aerospace industrial project leader will:

o   Be the industrial focal point for the manufacturing, assembly, and integration of aerospace structures, up to final delivery at customer premises, comprising documentation sets (Operation sheets, technical files, quality records, …)

o   Participate to manufacturing & assembly tooling definition, conformity and set-up

o   Interaction with other Sonaca departments (Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and subcontracting, Logistics)

o   Preparation/presentation of internal/customer reviews
