We recruit : Design Engineer Junior

Your mission :

As member of the design team, you'll be in charge of definition of technical solutions within multidisciplinary project team(s), from conceptual design up to detailed design.

You’ll be responsible for the design deliverables issuance and/or validation (eg. digital mockup, design principles, bills of material, weight reports, design justification analysis, interface drawings, design data sets).

You’ll also contribute to the respect of the key performance indicators of the design/project teams (on time delivery, first time right, costs).

Your Profile :

• Master’s degree in mechanical / Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in design of aircraft structures, covering preferably conceptual/preliminary/detailed design phases as well as modifications in service.
• Technical Skills:
  1. Good knowledge in manufacturing technologies and materials (metallic and composite) used in aerospace industry. Proven experience in ALM design is an asset.
  2. Good understanding of loads and stresses in aircraft structures. Ability to manage preliminary design and its sizing.
  3. Good knowledge in CAD and PLM softwares used in aerospace industry.
  4. Good knowledge in Design rules and CAD methodologies of minimum one commercial aircrafts and/or business jets manufacturer (Airbus, Embraer, Dassault, Gulfstream, …)
  5. Autonomous in parts tolerancing and GD&T analysis.

  4. Ready to travel for one day meetings and/or missions up to several weeks for project preparation / preliminary design activities at customers facilities

• Tools:
  1. CAD : Catia V5 (Generative Shape Design, Part & Assembly design, FTA, CPD, Sheet metal Aerospace) - Minimum 5000 Hrs experience is required.
  2. PLM : Teamcenter
  3. Knowledge in one or more of softwares here after is an asset : NX, 3DCS, Windchill, SAMCEF and/or NASTRAN
  4. Microsoft office
• Language: good level in English is mandatory (spoken & written). Speak of other European languages, and Portuguese especially, is an asset.
