FUNCTION:
o working closely with the Head of the Design Department, guaranteeing the performance of the department and the achievement of QCD project objectives;
o ensure the development of concepts, definition configurations, definition files, design methods/rules/procedures, CAD/PLM methods/rules/procedures and mass reports;
o ensure the deployment of internal and customer processes, methods and tools required for the smooth and successful running of projects (design, definition & modifications);
o working closely with the Technical Project Managers, organising, coordinating and leading the department's project design activities;
o supervising and providing design expertise as well as technical and managerial support to the department's design leaders;
o working closely with the Technical Project Managers, ensure that technical solutions are developed (design files, definition files & modification files), taking into account economic, industrial and schedule constraints and complying with the specifications and design rules;
o ensuring compliance and consistency with internal and customer methods, standards and processes (design, definition & modifications);

o Continuously plan and optimise internal and external human resources (on and off site) as well as the department's IT resources in line with project requirements and fluctuations therein;
o with the support of the design leaders, anticipating and assessing technical difficulties and risks. Identify and implement the corresponding mitigation actions;
o ensuring the quality of technical documents (design files, construction principles, interface plans, technical notes, mass reports, functional analysis reports, definition files and modification files);
o Approval of definition files. Verification of design and modification files;
o management and organisation of modification committees;
o working closely with the Design Department Manager, actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives (NRC optimisation, hourly rate optimisation, strengthening/optimising/harmonising design processes/methods/tools, implementing product FMEAs, Right First Time initiatives, strengthening/optimising/harmonising design KPIs), and identifying new ones;
o Periodic assessments and management of the development and training of the department's staff;
o managing recruitment, training and the movement of internal and subcontracted resources;
o drawing up, monitoring and optimising department budgets;
o drawing up and/or approving design specifications for calls for tender and product modifications;
o actively contribute to the implementation and performance of low-cost subcontracting;
o Represent the design department in dealings with various principals, partners and suppliers;
o capitalise on and develop design know-how (technical summary notes, lessons learned, design sheets, product and phase checklists, FMEA models, construction principles and generic methods, technology watch, etc.).
- Profile:
o Civil or industrial engineer in mechanical, electromechanical or aeronautical engineering;
o 10 to 15 years' experience in the design of aeronautical structures;
o 5 to 8 years' experience in team management;
o advanced, broad and up-to-date knowledge of the development of aeronautical structures (design, drawing, technologies, materials & processes, manufacturing and assembly processes, tooling, functional dimensioning & tolerancing, FMEA, tests, flight tests, pre-dimensioning, strength of materials, airworthiness, management of modifications, metallic and composite materials). Knowledge of aeronautical systems is a plus;
o Knowledge of the procedures and methodologies used by our main customers (AIRBUS, EMBRAER, BOMBARDIER & DASSAULT) is a significant asset;
o Advanced knowledge of CAD & PLM tools used in aeronautics (CATIA V5, NX, Windchill & TeamCenter);
o Proficiency in MS Office tools and good knowledge of MS Project;
o Fluency in French and excellent knowledge of professional and technical English (spoken, read and written);
o Self-motivated, autonomous, dynamic, flexible, rigorous, reliable and proactive;
o Ability to analyse and summarise project requirements;
o Leadership, negotiation, communication and team management skills;

FFonction et responsabilités :
o en étroite collaboration avec le Chef de département Conception, garantir la performance du service et l’atteinte des objectifs QCD des projets ;
o assurer l’élaboration des concepts, des configurations de définition, des dossiers de définition, des méthodes/règles/procédures de conception, des méthodes/règles/procédures CAO/PLM ainsi que des rapports de masse ;
o assurer le déploiement des processus, méthodes et outils internes et clients nécessaires au bon déroulement et à la réussite des projets (conception, définition & modifications) ;
o en collaboration étroite avec les Chefs de projet technique, organisation, coordination opérationnelle et animation des activités conception des projets du service ;
o encadrer et apporter l’expertise conception ainsi qu’un support technique et managérial aux design leaders du service ;
o en étroite collaboration avec les Chefs de projet technique, garantir l’élaboration de solutions techniques (dossiers de conception, dossiers de définition & dossiers de modifications) intégrant les contraintes économiques, industrielles, calendaires et respectant le cahier des charges ainsi que les règles de conception ;
o assurer le respect ainsi que la cohérence des méthodes, normes et processus (conception, définition & modifications) internes et clients ;
o planification et optimisation continue des ressources humaines internes et externes (sur site et hors site) ainsi que des ressources informatiques du service en fonction des besoins projets et de leurs fluctuations ;
o avec le support des design leaders, anticiper et évaluer les difficultés et risques techniques. Identification et mise en place des actions d’atténuation correspondantes ;
o assurer la qualité des documents techniques (dossiers de conception, principes constructifs, plans d’interfaces, notes techniques, rapports de masse, rapports d’analyses fonctionnelles, dossiers de définition et dossiers de modifications) ;
o approbation des dossiers de définition. Vérification des dossiers de conception et de modifications ;
o gestion et organisation des comités de modifications ;
o en étroite collaboration avec le Chef de département Conception, contribuer activement aux démarches d’amélioration continue (optimisation des NRC, optimisation du taux horaire, renforcement/optimisation/harmonisation des processus/méthodes/outils de conception, mise en place des AMDEC produits, initiatives Right First Time, renforcement/optimisation/harmonisation des KPIs conception), et en identifier de nouvelles ;
o évaluations périodiques et gestion du développement ainsi que des formations des collaborateurs du service ;
o gestion du recrutement, de la formation et des mouvements de ressources internes et sous-traitance ;
o élaboration, suivi et optimisation des budgets du service ;
o élaboration et/ou validation des devis conception relatifs aux appels d’offre et aux modifications produits ;
o contribuer activement à la mise en place et à la performance de sous-traitances low cost ;
o représenter le département conception vis-à-vis des différents donneurs d’ordre, partenaires et fournisseurs ;
o capitaliser et développer le savoir-faire conception (notes techniques de synthèse, lessons learned, fiches de conception, check lists produits et par phase, modèles FMEA, principes constructifs et méthodes génériques, veille technologique…).
· Profil :
o Ingénieur civil ou industriel en mécanique, électromécanique ou aéronautique ;
o 10 à 15 ans d’expérience en conception de structures aéronautiques ;
o 5 à 8 ans d’expérience en gestion d’équipes ;
o connaissances avancées, larges et actualisées en développement de structures aéronautiques (conception, dessin, technologies, matières & procédés, procédés de fabrication et d’assemblage, outillages, cotation & tolérancement fonctionnel, FMEA, tests, essais en vols, pré-dimensionnement, résistance des matériaux, navigabilité, gestion des modifications, matériaux métalliques et composites). Des connaissances en systèmes aéronautiques constituent un plus ;
o connaissance des procédures et méthodologies utilisées par nos clients principaux (AIRBUS, EMBRAER, BOMBARDIER & DASSAULT) constitue un atout significatif ;
o connaissance avancée des outils CAO & PLM utilisés en aéronautique (CATIA V5, NX, Windchill & TeamCenter) ;
o maîtrise des outils MS Office et bonne connaissance de MS Project ;
o maîtrise du français et excellentes connaissances en anglais professionnel et technique (parlé, lu, écrit) ;
