Lead Infrastructure Engineer

The Lead Infrastructure Engineer will lead the Productions Operations Team which is responsible for the smooth daily operations of GP Ecom Production Environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proactively manages availability, reliability and performance of environments devising and delivering on approaches to reduce incidents, MTTD and MTTR in efficient and effective ways
• Line & performance management responsibility for the team of Systems Administrators as well as being a hands on technical leader of the team
• Acts as an escalation point for critical tickets and service affecting issues confidently taking control of situations and leading to a successful resolution.
• Acts as a senior technical team member in the design, planning and implementation of technical projects and large BAU deliverables.
• Plans, reviews and leads the implementation of complex, high-risk changes.
• Coordinates key operational and project workload for the team ensuring timely completion in a progressive manner that biases lean approaches and continuous improvement.
• Coordinates the hiring process, screening and interviewing candidates for the team

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred.
• Experience in managing team(s) of Technical staff in a related discipline.
