Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Director to join our dynamic team in London. As a Design Director at Grey, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the creative output of our agency. You will help lead a team of talented designers, working closely with our clients and internal stakeholders to develop and execute compelling design solutions across various platforms and mediums.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help lead and inspire a team of designers, providing mentorship, guidance, and feedback to foster their professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with account managers, strategists, and creatives to understand client objectives and develop design concepts that effectively communicate the desired message.
  • Take ownership of projects from concept to completion, ensuring the highest standards of design excellence and attention to detail.
  • Oversee the creation of visual assets for print, digital, social media, CX and other channels, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design, and integrate them into our work to drive innovation and creativity.
  • Present design concepts and proposals to clients with confidence and clarity, articulating the strategic thinking behind each solution.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, earning their trust and confidence through exceptional work and superior service.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, freelancers, and partners as needed to augment the capabilities of our in-house team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of projects and styles.
  • Proven track record of leading design teams and delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative concepts and ideas effectively.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen understanding of brand identity and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Passion for creativity, innovation, and pushing the boundaries of design excellence.
