We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Account Manager to join our dynamic team, specializing in healthcare and/or pharmaceutical accounts. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar role, with a background or interest in the healthcare industry. This role requires exceptional communication, client management, organizational and relationship-building skills.

Key responsibilities:
You will assume a leadership pivotal role, internally and externally, in managing assigned accounts and collaborating with the PMs, account service team and client.  You will contribute to the development of brand strategies and tactics and independently coach and train Global Account Managers and Global Project Managers throughout project process.


Day-to-day, you’ll be getting involved and leading:


·       Client Management:  Develops a thorough knowledge of the client’s business and competitive environment in order to build strong relationships and support strategic/tactical planning and execution.  Understands brand strategy and ensures all projects are aligned. Acts as client voice and main contact and support for Account Director. Appropriately represents the agency’s point of view, handles objections and/or negotiates with clients.  Understands both agency and client process and can effectively negotiate timing and manage client expectations through project progression. Communicates with clients on a daily basis, clearly, succinctly and in a timely manner.

·       Business Management:  Continually evaluates client business activity for financial monitoring and budget compliance and provides solutions with support of Global Project Managers. Valuates project activity and flags issues. Provides clear and timely information to any internal resources involved in projects.

·       Team Orientation: Manages status of projects, keeps Account Director(s) well informed of any potential concerns impacting client relationships.  Provides leadership by training and coaching on a day-to-day basis the Acocunt Managers and Project Managers. Sets a professional example and work ethic. Helps to facilitate a strong and cohesive global team (account service and PM) that is focused on priorities, and knowledgeable about client(s) products and services. Encourages challenging the status quo to find new and better ways to work; solicits and expects new ideas. Identifies and assists in resolving conflict. Environment is fast paced and daily tasks must be completed in an efficient manner.

·       Business Development: Proactively assesses assigned accounts in order to identify opportunities for business growth. Seeks out new opportunities to enhance current client relationships and create added value.

·       Personal Leadership and Accountability: Committed to excellence, being proactive and solutions oriented, personal and professional growth, and continually expanding knowledge. Understands the value of “learning the business” and building a strong career foundation. Looks for ways to do things better, based on a passion for the business and the agency. Works with integrity on all projects and holds him/herself accountable for delivering on expectations. Seeks feedback, listens, and acts on it. Works collaboratively to ensure that work produced is consistently of the highest quality. 

 

The Accounts:
The Senior Account Manager role at TANK London – Part of Grey Group covers an exciting and diverse client portfolio, at a local and global market level. Current opportunity focuses on a Global blockbuster pharmaceutical brand. The brand is highly strategic, with demanding business challenges that require creative problem solving and customer centric thinking. The type of work on this account is per the day to day responsibilities detailed above. You will be working with core account teams ranging from 3-10 people and broader creative/strategy/project management teams of up to 20 people; these internal teams are based in the London, Montreal, Toronto Canada, and New York offices. 

We need someone who:

·       Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline; 

·       2 years of experience in similar role & industry; 

·       Exhibits strong communication and persuasion skills;

·       Ability to verbally articulate and present in a concise/clear manner project related information to internal teams and clients 

·       Comfortable working in MS powerpoint and assembling internal and client facing presentations

·       Good project management skills; as well as client management skills 

·       Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, prioritizes and multi-tasks effectively; and able to effectively work with a team

·       Ability to work under pressure; 

·       Demonstrates strong problem-solving ability; 

·       Shows an aptitude for numbers and financial acumen; 

·       Understands service orientation; 

·       Self-motivated, with a positive attitude; 

·       Good interpersonal skills 

·       Shows rigor – attention to detail and accuracy; 

·       Knowledge of MS Office suite with an aptitude to learn new software programs quickly; 

·       Strong writing skills.
